Christina Young is an artist and maker based in Cornwall. She is currently working towards her BA in Silversmithing and Jewellery. As well as working in metal, Christina enjoys painting and working in an assortment of different media. She uses various sources of inspiration from the sea and coastline to more structural, manufactured forms.
Entry description
The Ebb and Flow shoulder brooch is made from pewter decorated with enamelled copper and has a brass and steel pin catch. The interplay of soft organic forms and pops of contrasting colour create a sense of harmony on this a wearable sculpture.
