Freja Taylor graduated from her BA Hons in Jewellery and Silversmithing in 2017 and produces bespoke pieces using traditional hand wrought techniques. Based in Cornwall, the historical landscapes that surround her inspire her work as a jeweller, photographer and artist.

‘Waves and their ability to change form are what inspired this pewter hair slider. I wanted to create a flowing, dynamic piece, that captures not only the simplicity of water, but its raw power. I built up multiple pewter sheets and added slight curvatures in the metal using hand tools, meticulously creating different angles to emphasize the way that water flows. It is highly polished, to highlight its reflective qualities and a palette of blues and whites suggests the ever-changing shapes of water.’
