About Judith Godden

Judith is a hobby pewterer who enjoys working from her home on the South Ayrshire coast. She spends her days working in clinical research but in contrast enjoys spending her spare time with more artistic craft pursuits.

Judith is inspired by the beautiful coastline around her and also strongly influenced by the work of the Glasgow Girls with their many examples of beautiful metalwork designs. Judith works mainly using repoussé techniques on pewter shim making pictures and clocks with Art Nouveau, Celtic and nature themes. More recently she has been experimenting with pewter etching and has based the Freedom design around the etching process.
