Yiwei believes jewellery is not only meant to be seen by the audience but also to enhance or alternate the wearer’s experience. She explores the relationships between the wearer, the jewellery, the audience, and the environment and is particularly interested in sensory fashion and phenomenology.
Entry description
Inspired by meditative experiences out walking, this piece has a magical and dynamic effect. The piece is set on the hand, the middle loop symbolising time and the outer representing flow of the mind. The three parameters compose a polyphony, that plays harmoniously on the hand with the wearer’s movement.
