Entry description
River vase is a carved hardwood and raised pewter decorative vessel. Harmony doesn’t exist in isolation. It is formed when separate elements combine. This piece is a confluence of traditional pewter raising combined with cutting-edge, computer-aided design and manufacturing. It is displayed on a hand-cranked, handmade mechanical turntable and shutter to animate its zoetropic inner form.
