Eleanor is currently studying her second year of Designer Maker BA(Hons) at University Centre Hastings. She predominantly works in textiles using techniques such as embroidery and embellishment. This was a surprise to her as before this course she had never used or had any interest in textiles, Eleanor was mostly interested in painting and illustration. This is something that she has included and mostly influenced her work.
Entry description
I will be designing and making collar brooches. One brooch will be cast in pewter of a hand. The other will be a textile embroidered sparrow brooch. Both brooches will have a 1 inch pewter chain. The symbolism behind my idea is of a bird escaping the hands of society
