Based in East Sussex and now in her second year of a BA Hons Designer Maker degree at University Centre, Hastings. Julia has always had a curiosity to experiment and make. After creating her family, Julia wants to show her children that education is an ongoing process of life’ s journey no matter your age or situation. This course has given her confidence to explore with different materials, including pewter.

The seesaw holds two vessels, only when the vessels are equally filled the platform will balance and equality will be reached. The vessels are designed in celebration of the tremendous work the women’s suffrage achieved not only for politics but also for every women’s freedom to enter the arts
