Trish Woods is based in Liverpool and produces limited edition and bespoke jewellery and giftware items. She originally trained in Silversmithing at Loughborough College of Art and went on to teach design and metals for over 20 years. She has worked in Pewter for the last 15 years and strives to bring a new, contemporary aesthetic to this traditional metal.
Trish studied for a PhD in Design researching new methods for patinating pewter. This research culminated in the development of a unique process for colouring pewter which is now a signature of her work.
Entry description
My cocktail set is inspired by the 1920s Art Deco and the Jazz age, when people needed to have fun after the darker times of that period, much like today. Hand crafted from sheet pewter and light emitting acrylic that adds a contemporary twist.
