Jim and Laura Stringer graduated from Hallam University where they each studied Metalwork & Jewellery, and have been connected with the metal industry for over 30 years.
Previously they used to mostly work in steel, stainless steel, brass and silver. However, having won awards at Pewter Live a few times since 2014, Jim and Laura have set up a workshop near home in Sheffield. Nowadays they produce giftware and jewellery in pewter with brass and copper accents.
Jim and Laura’s designs are inspired by nature as well as the properties of pewter. They use traditional silversmithing as well as industrial fabricating skills to realise their designs.
